Unique spaces deserve unique lighting, but finding truly unique pieces isn't as easy as you might think. You won't find these pieces in big box stores. And trusting what you see online isn't the same as experiencing a fixture in person.
Luckily, lighting showrooms like ours cater to discerning tastes. Are you passionate about impeccable artistry? One-of-kind custom fixtures? Heirloom pieces? We have all that—and more.
See, we’re also passionate about lighting products that use high quality materials, innovative designs, and incredible skill.
Below is a sampling of the luxury lighting brands we carry. Remember, seeing is truly believing. Be sure to stop by one of our lighting showrooms to experience these products—and more—in person.
Sonneman is Synonymous with Innovation.
In 1961 at the age of 19, Robert Sonneman began his illustrious career under the watchful gaze of lighting and accessory retailer George Kovacs, who introduced young Robert to Modernism. Today, Sonneman describes himself as a "modernist with a historical sensibility," a point of view that has served him well over the last five decades. In 2003, at 61 years young, the legendary designer launched his own brand: SONNEMAN – A Way of Light.
At Wolfers, we're huge fans of Sonneman's lighting fixtures—and not just because of their modern designs. They also incorporate excellent materials and LED technology. Here are several pieces that are sure to please.
Sonneman "Spire" and "Trinity" Chandeliers. These clear pieces of glass carry the light in the chrome tops and distribute it below the fixture, resulting in illuminated, lined etchings for a beautiful decorative touch AND light directed down where it's needed. See the Spire in our Allston showroom, and the Trinity in Waltham.
Sonneman Lattice Pendant. The Lattice is a construction of luminous elements connected in an intricate composition that forms a modern LED lighting sculpture of texture and interest.
Sonneman Tubo LED Bath Bar. Sonneman isn't just for kitchens and dining rooms. This bath bar will complement any bathroom, and the high CRI (color rendering index) means it will flatter skin tones. See it in both showrooms in Satin Nickel.
Visual Comfort Creates an Intersection between Modern and Traditional
With such high-profile designer labels as Kate Spade and Ralph Lauren, Visual Comfort presents traditional silhouettes with modern finishes, resulting in fixtures that work in traditional homes as well as transitional spaces.
We keep many of these great fixtures in both showrooms. (Check out our Visual Comfort collection on Houzz.)
Here are a few highlights:
The Gold Cubist Chandelier. From designer Kelly Wearstler, this piece gives a modern twist to classic geometric shapes. See it on display in Allston.
Chapman Moravian Star. On display in both showrooms, this updated classic in Burnished Steel is a showstopper.
Siena Triple Sconce. This sophisticated vanity light in Polished Nickel has well-crafted detailing and is on display in both showrooms.
Corbett is the Master of Whimsy
Corbett is famous for its novel, almost whimsical fixtures that dazzle with a wide array of options and one-of-a-kind looks. Even the names of the lighting fixtures are playful! Here are some of our current favorites.
Calligraphy Pendant. The flowing metal ribbons definitely give off a calligraphy vibe. The two LED light sources point light up and down for added effect. See it in both showrooms.
Tantrum. We love the way the chaotic squares in Bronze hang around the Polished Brass lantern, creating movement and plenty of visual interest.
Rock StarThe gold leafed chandelier frame suggests pure decadence and the sliced agate pieces will bring plenty of personality to your space. On display in Waltham.
After Midnight. This one-light wall sconce will add glam and drama to any powder room or closet. See it on display in both showrooms.
Remember, these are only a handful of the many distinctive fixtures that we carry. Stop by a lighting showroom soon or plan your visit by making an appointment with one of our lighting consultants.
