Our regular blog readers know we're huge fans of Visual Comfort lights, and for good reason. The lighting products are high quality and diverse, thanks in part to the company's huge stable of talented lighting designers (over fifteen, at last check).
This fall, we recently unveiled a Visual Comfort gallery in our Allston lighting showroom. This gallery displays stunning lighting products from several different Visual Comfort designers.
Here's a sampling of what to expect when you stop in for a visit.
- Lighting Designer E. F. "Sandy" Chapman. Mr. Chapman has been Visual Comfort's chief designer since 1996. As the website states, "His classically influenced style defines our core of traditional silhouettes."
Below is the Moravian Medium Star, a piece that's sure to wow, thanks to its burnished silver leaf finish and antique mirrored glass. Other finishes include gilded iron and aged iron.
- Lighting designer AERIN. With the AERIN Collection, you'll find pieces that celebrate old world glamour with a modern point of view, like the Jacqueline Chandelier with its hand-rubbed antique brass finish and white glass beads. What's not to love? (Also available with clear glass beads and a burnished silver leaf finish.)
- Thomas O’Brien. O'Brien is a visionary designer who moves seamlessly from traditional to modern to everything in between. We're not the only fans, either. We recently spotted an O'Brien lighting fixture (pictured below) in Alton Brown's test kitchen.
The Hicks Pendant provides excellent illumination in a funky design with bronze and antique brass accents. Other finishes include polished nickel, antique nickel, and hard-rubbed antique brass.
