Have you ever dreamed of taking a sneak peek inside a gorgeously designed luxury home? Thanks to Design Home 2015, you can…all while helping a good cause at the same time.
For eleven years, Boston magazine has teamed up with design partners who've created beautiful homes for the public to tour. As the Design Home website explains, "Each project features a unique perspective on living. From sprawling suburban estates, to sleek urban living, transitional to contemporary, each project has brought something new to the home market and this year’s project will be no different." The focus for 2015 is simple: the community living lifestyle.
You'll find this year's Design Home in bucolic Ipswich, Mass., at The Residences of Turner Hill, a residential golf community. You can tour the Design Home from September 9 to October 4. The proceeds from ticket sales will support Boston Children's Hospital.
Wolfers was asked to provide the lighting, and Waltham consultant Kate Hazen recommend lighting options for this year's Design Home. With input from the design team, Kate put together various selections that always kept size, aesthetics, quality, and budget in mind. Because Kate provided several great options for each room, the design team enjoyed plenty of flexibility. Regarding the experience, Kate says “It was great to help facilitate the choices that were made in the Design Home-- we utilized many lines of product to best represent the desired feel of each room”. A few of the chosen selections are shown below.
We're extremely proud of Kate's work. Her impressive knowledge of lighting products in general and her keen ability to explain those options helped the Design East team create a perfectly lit space. Come check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Buy tickets here.
